ECON 255 Major Presentation: The Forgotten Working Class

Globalization has become a dominant point of discussion in the field of development economics. Arguments have been made regarding its pros and cons. Stories have been told out of the experience of those it has rendered winners and losers. This presentation explored these arguments and stories from one unique perspective--the experience of impoverished working class communities in wealthy nations--as a way of analyzing how it has contributed to each country's respective political climate.



Constructing a Strategy Brief for the Grants for Catalyzing Research Clusters Program

The Grants for Catalyzing Research Excellence Clusters (GCRC) competition was jointly created by the UBC Vice-President Research & Innovation and the Provost & Vice-President Academic to support the development of emerging research clusters into Global Research Excellence (GREx) clusters. For this project, I analyzed data across all competition years and presented my findings in a brief which provided recommendations for the GCRC’s future strategic direction.
